Look into the Past
Kamp Amersfoort, once a Dutch military site, became a Nazi concentration camp in WWII.
Over 37,000 people were imprisoned and suffered horrific abuse.
The organisation wanted us to raise awareness about the atrocities committed here during WWII and spark curiosity among local visitors about the stories behind this space.
Our outcome for what they asked of us was to place a bioscope outside the camp. When passersby look through the bioscope as shown , they see a historical image of the camp. This experience aims to place the user in a position of being able to empathise with the victims, allowing for the bridging of past to the present.
